I am Fascinated by Finding Fonts!
I have a fanatical fascination with fonts. Similar to logos, I have been into them since I was really young. I remember when I used to mess around with various fonts using Microsoft Word on a PC back in the day.
The first font-related website I really like is DaFont. Users can search for fonts by name or theme and download fonts for free. You can also ask other users on the forums for help with identifying fonts embedded in an image if you have an account.
Perhaps my favorite font identification tool is the website What Font Is. It features a useful tool which can make an image more clear to help identify a font. You can also look through both paid and free fonts, but you will be linked to other websites to actually download the fonts. What Font Is has a forum somewhat similar to DaFont’s forums where you can ask for help with identifying fonts embedded in an image. However, one thing I don’t like about the site is how much memory it takes up, which makes the website slow to load.
Another font identification tool I like is WhatTheFont by MyFonts. You can rotate an image, but you cannot make an image more clear. All of the fonts on the website are paid, not free.
